SHOP HELP

(Trim Line)

The trim line manufactures the parts that outline a building, including gutters and down-spouts. In this picture, all the darker material would be produced on the trim break.

This person will be responsible for operating the trim line machine safely, working with other production Team Members and ensuring materials are ready for the customer on time. Starting pay is $15 an hour. Hours are Monday - Friday 7:30 - 4:30.

Responsibilities include:

  • Knowledgeable of trim machines and how to safely operate

  • Properly measure materials against work order to ensure machines running accurately

  • Flex and flow to fill gaps as needed in shop

  • Safely operate fork lift & crane

  • Remain teachable about machinery and time management

Required Qualities:

  • Transportation to get to work on time

  • Able to lift 50lbs

  • Able to get on and off a trailer

  • Honest

  • Responsible to get job done

  • Able to work in shop conditions (hot in summer and cold in winter)

  • Team player

  • Dependable

Customer Service

We are looking for someone who can do MORE than just field calls and pass a customer along to someone who can better answer their questions. We are looking for someone who will care about our customers, their needs and advocate for them.

This position is responsible for creating an AWESOME first impression for the customer plus grow relationships with existing customers by answering questions, ensuring the right materials are ordered and keeping everyone informed of their order status. Starting pay is $15/hour.

Responsibilities include:

  •  Understand and service our customers at the counter and over the phone according to their need

  • Learn BuildNet, our company software for order entry and much more

  • Gather the needed information from the customer to place an order

  • Complete necessary paperwork to send an order to production

  • Proof orders for accuracy – Ex. quantity, length, color, pitch, shipping address, pricing, etc

  • Receive payments from customers via cash, check or charge, document appropriately, and give correct change back

  • Learn our products & processes – trim profiles, purlin, beam; flow of information and work

  • Scan documents, create files and attach information pertaining to each job

  • Help maintain well stocked office supplies

  • Knowledge of accessories – Ex. screws, closures, paint colors and caulk

 Requirements:

  •  Basic desktop computer skills and knowledge

  • Know how to scan, attach files in an email

PEMB Detailing & BOM QC

This person will be the in-house detailing filter for all Bolt-Up and PEMB projects. As we grow, we want to apply our LEAN culture and approach to excellence in our detailing department. That means not only producing timely and accurate drawings/details, but also constantly eliminating waste and inefficiencies in the process.

 Responsibilities:

  • Create, review, and edit approval drawings

  • Quality Control of BOMs (Bill of material), Erection/Construction Drawings, and Shop/Manufacturing Drawings

  • Work with MBS, Engineering, and Sales team to streamline the quoting and detailing processes

  • Provide quick drawing solutions to provide clarity to shop fabricators and building erectors as needed

  • Detail parts, pieces and conditions for the manufacturing and erection of Bolt-Up buildings as needed

  • Analyze and interpret Architectural and Structural Engineering drawings to understand intent

  • May assist with Weld-Up and Weld Plus detailing as needed

 Required Qualifications:

  • Experience and proficiency in detailing metal buildings and metal building conditions

  • Experience with MBS Software

  • Experience with drafting or detailing software

  • Experience with Excel

  • High interpersonal communication skills

  • Desire for continuous process improvement

  • Ability to see parts and pieces in 3D in mind

Pay starts at $20+/hr and depends on mindset, experience and skillset. Specific wages will be discussed and determined after an in-person interview.
